Neil Parrett

Dr Neil Parrett

Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Neurorehabilitation Specialist

I am a chartered clinical psychologist with the HCPC and the British Psychological Society, of which I am a member of their Division of Neuropsychology.

I have extensive experience in specialist brain injury neuropsychological assessment and treatment, particularly with regards to challenging behaviour, mood, cognitive impairment and social issues. I completed my Undergraduate degree in Psychology at Edinburgh University before completing my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at University College London and Post-Graduate Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology at Glasgow University.

I have worked in post-acute inpatient neurorehabilitation and community-based rehabilitation across the NHS, private and charity sectors. I have been working as a treating clinician in medico-legal cases since 2010 and as an expert witness since 2012. I was a trustee for Headway North London for 6 years.  I have published papers in a number of areas of clinical psychology including brain injury rehabilitation.

Dr Daniel Ghossain

Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Neurorehabilitation Specialist

I am a chartered clinical psychologist with the HCPC and the British Psychological Society.  My specialisms include: cognitive rehabilitation following acquired brain injury, particularly in a medicolegal context; neuropsychological assessment and treatment, particularly in the areas of emotional and social adjustment, cognitive difficulties, post-traumatic stress, sleep and challenging behaviour; capacity assessments; the treatment of functional disorders; the psychological assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with mood and behaviour difficulties; and the psychological treatment of adults with mood difficulties.

I was awarded an MSc in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience from Goldsmiths, London, before completing my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University College London and Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology from Glasgow University.

I have provided consultative neuropsychology services to the City and Hackney Psychology Service (East London NHS Foundation Trust) and the stroke unit at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth. I have also previously worked for Re:Cognition Health, Wandsworth CAMHS and the Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit and Neurodisability Service.

I have worked as an expert witness in civil litigation and for the Crown Prosecution Service.

Dr Tomás Campbell

Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Neurorehabilitation Specialist 

I qualified as a clinical psychologist in 1988 having studied at University College Dublin and the University of Surrey. I am an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a member of the BPS Division of Clinical Psychology and the Division of Neuropsychology. I am a chartered clinical psychologist with the HCPC and a Charted Scientist and also hold qualifications from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (MSc in sexually transmitted infections) and the University of Glasgow (Post-Graduate Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology.

I have extensive experience in the neuropsychological assessment and treatment of chronic conditions acquired brain injury. I have worked in the NHS, Re:Cognition Health and The Hospital Of St John & St Elizabeth. I have worked extensively with adolescents with chronic conditions. I have extensive therapeutic experience and have trained in Systemic (family) therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) in addition to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I am chair of trustees for WhizzKids United, a charity that runs Africa’s only adolescent HIV clinic. I am a consultant for UNICEF working mainly in Russia and the former soviet republics.

I have published more than 30 papers in a number of areas of clinical psychology. I am an associate editor of Behavioral Medicine.

Dr Kate FitzGerald

Clinical Psychologist 

I am a chartered clinical psychologist with the HCPC and the British Psychological Society. I qualified for Clinical Psychologist registration in Australia in August 2018, and converted my professional qualifications to the UK in 2020.  I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Zoology at the University of Melbourne before going on to complete my Postgraduate Diploma and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Swinburne University of Technology.

I have worked and studied in the field of Psychology since 2005, initially focusing on mental health with a special interest in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Before moving into the field of Neuropsychological Rehabilitation where I have worked across the NHS and private sectors, including the NHS Royal Free Trust, Re:Cognition Health, and the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth. I have worked across inpatient and community settings and with a wide range of neurological conditions.

I am experienced with cognitive assessment and intervention, mental capacity assessments, family support and education, staff training, multidisciplinary team working, challenging behaviour, mental health, research and audit, report writing, and individual and group therapy (including cognitive-behavioural therapy). This includes working with reduced insight, adjustment, and psychological flexibility.

Lucilla Carlacci De Mattia

Clinical Psychologist 

I am a chartered Clinical Psychologist with the HCPC and a clinical fellow of the International Neuropsychoanalysis Society (NPSA).

I was awarded an MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychological Rehabilitation from La Sapienza, University of Rome, in 2016. In the same year I was winner of the “Course of Excellence Awards” following a workshop focused on “Trauma and Brain: stress-related disorders and neural plasticity”. I then moved to London to complete my 12 months of internship before passing the State Examination to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in Italy, qualifying in June 2018. I have been working in London in both research and clinical settings within the field of Neuropsychology since 2017, and I converted my professional qualification to the HCPC in 2021.

My specialisms include: neuropsychological rehabilitation following acquired brain injury, combined with challenging behaviour and mental health difficulties; assessments (including mental capacity) and report writing; multidisciplinary team working, goals monitoring and team training/supervision; individual and group therapy, insight interventions, family support and education; data analysis and neuropsychology research.

Dr Andy Pike

Consultant Clinical Psychologist 

I am a chartered Clinical Psychologist with the HCPC and a member of the Association of Clinical Psychologists UK. I qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2014 having achieved first class honours in my undergraduate BSc Psychology before completing my Doctorate at University College London.

I have been trained in the administering of cognitive and neuropsychology assessments.  I have experience of behavioural observations as part of a multi-disciplinary team assessing adolescents for autism.

I have extensive experience working in adult mental health.  This has included working in a secondary care adult mental health community team and in a hospital setting offering psychology services for long term conditions like COPD and Diabetes as well as general medicine.  My doctoral thesis was researching therapeutic effectiveness in pain management programs and I have run both individual and group programs for this patient group utilising behavioural approaches within an Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches.

I am a trained EMDR practitioner and have worked within Trauma services and supported asylum seekers with medicolegal reporting where they are presenting with complex PTSD.  I also act as psychological consultant to a charity that offers CBT skills workshops for secondary schools in Hertfordshire and run a small private practice and consultancy.

Dr Monika Urbanek

Clinical Psychologist 

I am a chartered Clinical Psychologist with the HCPC. I completed the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Canterbury Christ Church University in 2013. Since then, I have worked in a variety of services, across the NHS and private sectors, offering psychological assessment and therapy (CBT, ACT, CFT, systemic therapy) to children, young people and adults with a range of mental health difficulties, physical health issues, chronic pain, acquired brain injuries and neurodevelopmental conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and learning disabilities.

I have experience of carrying out neuropsychological assessments, autism assessments, using Positive Behaviour Support approach with clients who present with complex behaviours that challenge, and offering individual and group support to families. I have extensive experience of working with teams and supporting professional carers using a range of approaches, including psychodynamically-informed training for carers of people who have significant trauma histories and present with symptoms of emotional dysregulation and behaviours that challenge.

As part of my work, I have been offering supervision, consultation and training to other professionals as well as teaching on doctoral clinical psychology courses.
